Privacy policy

JetSet Sharps Disposal, doing business as JetSet Medical Waste, is a locally owned medical waste and sharps disposal company serving South Texas. We hold Texas Commission on Environmental Quality registration 50145.

This policy covers the website at www.jetsetmedicalwaste.com. It does not cover the customer portal, which a separate company runs for us. See the customer portal section below.

Most of what we collect, you type in yourself. When you request a quote or send us a message through the form on this site, we ask for:

• Your name, email address and phone number.
• Your facility name.
• The facility address and city, so we can tell you whether we serve it.
• How many containers you have and how often you need a pick-up, if you know.
• Anything else you choose to write in the comments box.

Only your name, email and phone are required. The rest helps us quote accurately, and you can leave it blank.

The site also records some information automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visited and when. If you accept analytics cookies, we also see anonymous page-view statistics. Both are described further below.

We use what you send us to answer your request. That means calling or emailing you back, putting together a quote, and, if you become a customer, setting up and running your service.

We use the automatic information to keep the site running, to spot and block spam and abuse, and to understand which pages people find useful.

We do not sell your information, and we do not rent it out or trade it. We do not use it to advertise to you on other websites.

Like most small businesses, we rely on a few outside services to run this website. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job.

• JotForm stores the form submissions. When you submit the quote form, the information is sent to our JotForm account, which is where we read and respond to it.
• Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise checks that a form submission comes from a person and not an automated script. Google's privacy policy and terms of service apply to that check.
• Vercel hosts the website and keeps the server logs described above.
• Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, reports anonymous usage statistics. It runs only after you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner.
• GetTerms runs the cookie consent banner and records the choice you make in it.

We may also share information when the law requires it, for instance in response to a valid subpoena, or to protect the safety of a person or the security of the site.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses two kinds.

Essential cookies make the site work and keep it secure. The reCAPTCHA check on the quote form sets one. These do not need your permission and cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies tell us how the site is used. They are off until you accept them in the banner that appears on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time by reopening the banner from the bottom of any page.

The customer portal linked from this site is hosted and operated by Compliance Publishing, not by us. When you sign in there, your username and password go to their servers, and their privacy policy governs what happens to them. We do not see or store your portal login on this website.

We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep our business records in order. If you become a customer, your details stay in our records while you are one and for as long afterwards as our recordkeeping requires. If you would like a request deleted sooner, ask us.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call the number below and we will take care of it. We may need to confirm who you are before we make changes.

You can decline analytics cookies in the consent banner without affecting anything else on the site.

This site is served over an encrypted connection, form submissions are checked for automated abuse before they are accepted, and access to the systems that hold your information is limited to the people who need it. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

This site is for businesses and the people who run them. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here so you can see what moved.
